What is a strong CV?

1 minute to describe yourself – Can you do it? That’s exactly how long someone else has been reading your CV for the first time. How to talk about what you’re doing briefly and still impressed?

To write a good CV, you need to be able to write briefly and think critically. It sounds big, but it’s about explaining what you do and your contribution in just 1-2 pages.

Professionalism does not mean creating a dry image

1. Who are you really?
Give a brief sentence about what stands out most about you: what are you known for? What value propositions can you have on the matter? How does your job and skills help others?

This requires you to think carefully about the value that makes it easy for the employer to identify and remember you. Remember to write in a clear, smooth Vietnamese language, and do not use too many specialized words. Only keep the employer’s attention in this sentence for less than 10 seconds.

Examples: I am an expert in building new images for products / services through effective communication products.

2. What do you do?
In the experience section, develop the image with specific evidence, but try to help the reader grasp the information after 30 seconds.

– Title and company already/ are doing

– A brief overview of what you do at work

– Your specific effectiveness (impressive figure)

– Specialization or field of expertise if there is a difference between the job positions already done

3. What makes you different?
This is what distinguishes you from other candidates in the market. Use information about your contributions and achievements as a testament to the opening introduction line: with that role / task, what did you do? What are you passionate about at work? And how does that help others?

Examples:

I create content with at least 1000 share on every post in the Fanpage. I am not going to stop at just the cosmetic sector, but also…

I created CMS products for the Company 2 months early than expected, saving 30% of production costs. I’m learning more about UX to create more intuitive products with users…

The success rate after taking care of my customers was 70% compared to an average of 55%. For 6 months, more than 200 customers continued to contact me when they wanted to buy another product…

I have received over 300 5-star ratings. Tourists from Germany, Italy, Japan IGN still write an email asking me after returning home and appointing a return date…

You can write 3-4 sentences so that the reader can get enough information within 15 seconds. The rest of the time is for them to skim through basic information such as: Email, phone number, qualifications, references…

Although your CV is short, it doesn’t tell you about your working life in a lifeless way. Not only do you summarize your work, but you also demonstrate your personality and demonstrate why your work contributes better to your company and customers.

Among the number of CVS, there are positions where employers only read each CV 1 time. And that’s the goal of writing a CV: becoming unforgettable.
